General Tiger Card Information

Your Tiger Card is here to make your experience at LSU easier and more convenient. Aside from being your student identification, it also allows you to purchase meals and other items on campus with Paw Points and TigerCASH.

Services Tied to your Tiger Card

  • Meal Plans

Your Tiger Card is used to access your meal plan. Your dining plan is "loaded" onto the Tiger Card which allows you to purchase meals at The 5 or The 459 Commons.

  • Paw Points

Along with your meal plan, you will also receive a certain amount of Paw Points.  The number of points will be different for each plan.  Paw Points are used just like cash to buy items On Campus.

  • TigerCASH

TigerCASH is similar to Paw Points, however TigerCASH can be used On Campus AND in many Off Campus locations.
 

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to receive a Tiger Card?
  • Any student (full-time, part-time, graduate, undergraduate, etc.) who is enrolled in at least one-credit at LSU is eligible to receive a Tiger Card. Students must have registered with LSU and have an active record on the Mainframe module to get their Tiger Card.
Can I change my Tiger Card Photo?
  • Yes, but you must go to the Tiger Card office in person to take the new photo.
What do I need to bring to get a Tiger Card?
  • Bring ONE of the following:
    • State Driver's License  (including state-issued temporary or provisional licenses with photos)
    • State-Issued Identification Card
    • Military-Issued Identification Card
    • Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Card
    • U.S. or Foreign-Issued Passport
    • Permanent Resident Card  (Example: Green Card, Resident Alien Card)
       
  • If you CANNOT provide any of the above items, you MUST PROVIDE ALL of the following:
    • Social Security Card
    • Birth Certificate
    • Utility bill or other bill with the current address
    • Signature
Where do I go to get my Tiger Card?
  • The Tiger Card Office is located on the First Floor of the LSU Student Union in Room 144.
What is TigerCASH and where can it be used?
  • TigerCASH is a campus-wide debit system that may be used for food, vending, copies, and many other things. It is available to everyone with a Tiger Card.  View the vendors who accept TigerCASH.
Where can I add TigerCASH to my Tiger Card?
  • You can add TigerCASH through the Tiger Card Management link here: https://eacct-lsu-sp.transactcampus.com/eAccounts/AnonymousHome.aspx. Please note that there is a 2.5% fee for any credit card transactions. If you wish to add TigerCASH online with no fee, please go to myLSU, select Registration Services at the bottom left, then select Additional Services and click View Options at the right. Add the amount you wish to add to TigerCASH, then enter 3001 as the code. 
  • You can add TigerCASH in person through a TigerCASH Kiosk, located in the Student Union, Patrick F Taylor, LSU Library, and the Law School. Please note that these Kiosks accept paper cash only; no coins or cards are accepted. View more information about TigerCASH.
